Sustainability is an easy and great thing. It is, even so, when we just talk about it. It sounds good. And it is even more fun when we quote the same in our projects. As we all know it is great and fun to talk the talk. But it takes some sweat and pain to keep rolling the words into action.

But in a real sense, it is fun to see things getting accomplished. Are you aware of the vast possibility that we can bring in when we actually get into doing some real stuff?

And the topic for this read would be how to bring in Sustainability, as an eminent part of our professional lifestyle. Yes, we have done a great deal in Sustainability Leadership and even in Sustainable Tourism. But now the time is to talk about bringing Sustainability into our professional life.

Steps to bring Sustainability in our professional life

• Minding the use of stationery

How many times could we write the plans on a soft notepad instead of simply scribbling on the paper? Thus ending up saving more pens and papers/ isn't that a great idea? It is, of course!

This helps in making sure we are not only working on protecting the environment but our office practices are also testifying about the same. No doubt offices are the one point where people are always seen using a lot of paper and stationery. To be honest and true.

But with changed mindsets and a little of changed habits we all can work out things in a better view!

• Taking care of the appliances and supplies

Willingness to save the planet starts with small steps. Small steps are taken in due time to help to approach something helpful. How about taking time to bring up the right alignment of stuff in our routine? How about putting down those heavy appliances that a professional can survive without? Also taking care to have the necessary equipment in the office.

Now each business differs from another. Thus the answer to this question, who needs which appliances and what supplies are more necessary, is to be decided on an individual notice.

With just one main aim: bringing a balance of sustainability in the professional life as well.

• How about people?

What comes to your mind when we think and talk about, people and sustainability? Lols, we are not talking about keeping them shortlisted. This is not the picture. But the scenario is all about taking care of people. Similarly much as we do and talk about taking care of the environment. Taking care of people, bringing kindness in the notion and

When we talk about Sustainability Leadership, one most important factor to take care of is people. It involves talking to people gently and being kind to them. Allowing people to make mistakes and most importantly welcoming the various ideas that come from people.

• Taking care of the projects

As much as we would like to go green internally, it is very necessary to go green externally as well. This includes bringing more of the greenery revolution on the plate. We can keep a note of the discussion and bring more to the table every time we meet afresh. For this, we need not have any sort of paper stuff or things that cannot be recycled.

Thus when we make sure that we are not building things on the constant need of bringing in unsustainable products, we tend to bring easier to get through things.
